MINIATURE MUSINGS OF MYRIAD MOODS!

புல்லின் நுனிகளில்

வைரத் துளிகள் என்று சொல்லி

அலுத்து விட்டேன்....

அவைகள்  பனித்துளிகள் தான்!

Fed up I am, saying that 
there are diamond-drops on 
grass-blades.
They are but dew-drops indeed!

கிளிகள் எத்தனை அழகென்று
அண்ணாந்து  நின்றேன்.
புளிச்சென்று  போட்டது
சாதாரணமாக!!    

Marveling at the beauty of parrots
I stood there looking above.
It shit on me
all too casually!

  

சற்றுக் கண்ணயர்ந்தேன்

அதற்குள்  பூமி
எங்கோ சென்று விட்டது!
I dozed off a bit.
Lo, the world had gone 
faraway!

பாவம்!
பள்ளி வகுப்பின் ஜன்னலோரம்
பாடத்தை ஒட்டுக் கேட்கின்றன
பன்றிகள்.

Crowding near the classroom window
eavesdropping the lesson_
poor pigs!!

சட்டையை  மரத்தில்

தொங்கவிட்டு

நீருக்குள் பாய்ந்தது

சாரைப்பாம்பு.

Shedding its coat 
to hang on the tree
the Snake dived 
into the water.

நில்லாமல்
நகருகிறது நிலவு.
நில்லாமல்
சுற்றுகிறது பூமி.
நகராமல் நிற்பதுபோல்
தற்பெருமை  எனக்குள்!
Never static
the Moon moves on.
Never static
the Earth revolves.
As if I remain stationed
I feel proud within!

வானத்தை
சிறைப்பிடித்துவிட்டதான
கர்வம்
எப்போதும் உண்டு
காலிப்பானைகளுக்கு!

The sense of pride
of having imprisoned the
Sky
fills for ever
the Empty  Pots!

மலரென்று  நினைத்தேன்

பறந்து  போயிற்று!...     

A flower, thought I
it flew off!

வளைந்த கிளைகளில்
சிக்கிக்கொண்டது
சூரியன்

In the curved branches
entrapped_
the Sun

வாசலைப் பூட்டிவிட்டு
உள்ளேவந்தேன்.
கூடத்துக்குள் நிலவொளி.

Locking the door
I came in.
Moon-shine in the hall

நல்ல  வேளை
மீன்களுக்கு  குரலில்லை.
இருந்தால்
சாவோலம்  காதைப்
பிளக்கும் 
அந்திக்கடற்கரையில்   

Thank God_
the fish are voiceless.
Or else
Death-wail
would be deafening
on the twilight seashore.
